50 YEAR CLASS REUNION 

Your GPHS June, 1960 Reunion Committee has been making plans for over a year and now it is time for you to make your plans to be in Grosse Pointe for this awesome event. We hope all of you are planning to be there for this memorable weekend on September 17-18, 2010.

On Friday, September 17^th there will be the reception at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial from 7:00 p.m. until midnight. Here we will have appetizers and dessert, and pizza later in the evening. For this gathering, beer, wine and soft drinks will be included in the price of $20.00 per person. Dress is casual.

Saturday morning will be a trip down memory lane with an organized tour of the High School. John Pettit has graciously volunteered to plan this event, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium. Park in the Grosse Pointe Boulevard lot. The tour will take approximately an hour and a half. Can you still locate your locker? Remember the combination? Perhaps after the tour, lunch will be fun at one of the places we all knew in the 50’s.

Saturday evening, September 18^th will be the Reunion Banquet at Lochmoor Country Club, beginning at 6:00 p.m. We ask that you plan to arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. so that the check in process moves smoothly. We will have a cocktail hour for appetizers, picture taking and visiting. The program, hosted by Bill Halbert, will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the ballroom with a lovely buffet dinner to follow. Complimentary wine will be served with dinner. The evening will continue with great 50’s and 60’s music and lots of time for visiting with classmates. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. The cost for this evening will be $70.00 per person. Dress is cocktail casual.

Blocks of hotel rooms have been secured at four locations in Roseville. They are: Best Western Georgian Inn, 586-294-0400; Baymont Inn and Suites, 586-296-6910; Extended Stay America, 586-294-0410 and Microtel Inn and Suites, 586-415-1000. All are reasonably priced. Enclosed you will find a reunion registration form to complete and send, along with your check by August 15, 2010. Please make plans early and return the form with your plans for attendance as soon as possible as Lochmoor needs to know our estimated count one month in advance of the event.
