I believe King died around January of 1965 of runaway heart failure. He had graduated from a college out east, Princeton I think (with honors).

I remember King when we were in Mason grade school. Kings mother asked my mother if I would like to have lunch with them? So mom drove me over in our 38 Ford and I had lunch. It's been 62 years and I remember that lunch as if it was yesterday! That was my first time dealing with French tost/raw and uncooked center. If that wasn't bad enought Kings mother was the type who demanded all food must be consumed. 62 years later I still don't know how I cleaned that plate!

King graduated from MIT and was working in New York for an oil company now ExxonMobil I think. We had a poker and bridge group that played often... King, Bruce Appel, George vandeBunte, and Paul Begeman. Talk about simpler times!

I remember King in English class turning in his paper with his last name first, first name last, as requested.  The teacher chewed him out for not following instructions then had to apologize.  We all thought that was great.  How often was a teacher proven wrong?

I remember King as a friend all through school.  One memory I have is of us sitting outside the fence of Lochmoor Country Club on Sunningdale Drive and chasing golf balls that were hit over the fence and selling them back to the golfers for a quarter.  I lost track of him during college years and after I was married I rented an apartment on Mack and Lakeland  and his parents just happened to live on Lakeland.  They informed me that he had died just shortly after graduation from MIT of a heart condition that he never knew he had.
