RICHARD A. HEIM:  Richard A. Heim of Mundelein, IL, 70, died October 4, 2012.  Richard was proud to have served as clarinetist in the Navy from 1960 to 1984.  He spent those years traveling the high seas on various ships and was land-based in the United States, Spain, Italy, Japan, and the Philippines.  Richard had a most affable personality.  He looked forward to spending each morning at Panera Bread, Libertyville, IL, with his many friends who fondly referred to him as "the Mayor of Panera."  Survivors include his two brothers, James Heim of Chicago, Ross (Andrea) Heim of Kildeer, and his niece, Allison Heim of New York, NY.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sylvia Heim.  Internment with full military honors took place at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in Elwood, IL.  A memorial service was held at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 11th at the Montessori and Music Center in Mundelein.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
