I will miss Phil. Both he and his wife so close together. He was a gentleman, good golfer and a great and loyal friend.

Phil and I have been friends since the seventh grade--that's 1954!  I want to share some of my thoughts about him.

Phil was a simple and direct kind of guy.  He was fun, loyal and dependable and, of course, a great golfer.  I am probably one of the few who never played a round of golf with him, due to lack of my skill, not his. Phil was family, and I will miss him dearly.

Chris, the love of his life, just passed away this past June 7.  He had talked fondly of joining her.  May he rest in peace and may his family be consoled.

My wife, Terrie, sends her condolences to his family and friends as well.

Bill Halbert
