I may have known Larry longer than most other classmates, with the exception of John Rice. Larry and I were in Cub  Scouts together and good buddies where we lived on the East side of Detroit. We used to take our wagons and go door to door collecting newspapers. We stored the newspapers in his garage. When the garage was full, his Dad would bring home a borrowed stake truck, and we would load it with the newspapers. The papers were then sold to a recycler. We split the profits.

His family moved to Grosse Pointe, and later so did mine. I knew who he was at GPHS, but he had his circle of friends, and I had mine. He was a good friend while the friendship lasted, and I am sure he will be missed by his sister, and family.
