Patrick Michael Meathe

1942-2019

Patrick Michael Meathe of Grosse Pointe Woods passed away on February 20, 2019 at the age of 77. A son of William John and Marie (nee Louwers), he was born on February 20, 1942 in Grosse Pointe. 

As a proud Grosse Pointer, Patrick attended Grosse Pointe High before earning Master's degrees in Business Administration and Urban Planning from Wayne State University. As a corporate turnaround executive, Patrick traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe. He shared his adventurous spirit with his family, taking them on road trips across the country. 

A highlight of Patrick's career was handling the marketing and public relations for Bob Hope's Desert Classic. In his retirement years, Patrick was a board member for St. Patrick's Senior Center in Detroit. He was an avid reader, lover of history and the arts, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

Beloved husband of Mary Anne (nee Lombardo), joined in love for 54 years. Loving father of Christopher (Brooke), Steven, and Trisha. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Ben, Louis, Annabel, Lexie, Bridget, and Scarlett.
