During the summer of 1958, Larry traveled to Europe with his family. He was away most of the summer and gave Pat Hinsby the keys to his boat that he kept tied-up to his parents's 42' Chris-Craft at the GP Yacht Club. Pat and I lived on the CC for most of the summer and used Larry's ski boat. We always had to leave early and come back late to avoid the dock attendent. If discovered, we would have been kicked-out.
Larry had a very wild bachelor party at a rented house in St Clair Shores. That party, today, would put several people in jail.
