Bernie Metzen was my first boyfriend in 7th grade at Pierce Jr. High. He was so nice and funny and handsome- a gentle soul. He took me to see Elvis at a live concert downtown- we took the bus! My memories of him are very warm, but I don't know how he lived his life. Rest in peace, Bernie. You are not forgotten.
